Unibridge Privacy Policy

Unibridge ("the app") is an academic and professional networking app for campus communities. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, full name, and campus role (member, student, or teacher). You can create a member account directly in the app; student and teacher accounts are provisioned by campus or program administrators.
• Profile information you choose to add: headline, bio, university, faculty, graduation year, location, profile visibility, skills, and portfolio or resume entries.
• Activity you create in the app: opportunity posts, applications, saved opportunities, connection requests, messages to accepted connections, content reports, and user blocks.
• Push notifications: if you allow notifications, the app stores a device push token so it can deliver them. The token is removed when you log out or delete your account.

The app does not collect your device location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics, and it contains no ads or third-party tracking SDKs.

How your information is used

• To operate the network: showing your profile to other signed-in campus users according to your visibility setting, matching you with opportunities, and delivering connection requests and application updates.
• To keep the community safe: reviewing content reports and enforcing user blocks.
• Passwords are stored only as salted hashes and are never visible to anyone.

Sharing

Your information is visible to other signed-in users of your campus network as governed by your profile visibility setting (public, university-only, or private). We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers or unrelated third parties. Data is hosted on Render (cloud infrastructure provider) in a managed PostgreSQL database.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from the Me tab (Delete Account). Deletion removes your account, profile, posts, applications, saved items, and connections immediately and cannot be undone. You can also request deletion by emailing the contact below.

Blocking and reporting

You can report any profile or post from its detail view and block any user. Blocking hides that user's profile and posts from you and hides yours from them. Reports are reviewed by the Unibridge team.

Children

Unibridge is intended for university communities and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
